Friendly Match v Cornwall at RND- 30 March 2008 Devon took the last 4 morning Foursomes to secure a 4-2 lead at lunch. In the afternoon singles, Devon took 7½ points out of the 12 to bring the final score to 11½ points to 6½.
In the singles, Jason Hampton turned in a 7 & 5 victory to go with his 6 & 4 win (with Tom Woodhouse) in the Foursomes. Jon White, Wes Dawkins and Lewis Clarke all won their singles by 5 & 3.

Channel League v Gloucestershire at East Devon - 20 April 2008 This was a superb Channel League opening match for the Devon Team and their new Captain, Paul Newcombe (East Devon). After battling through in the morning Foursomes to take a narrow lead of 3-2 and with the weather deteriorating, the Devon Team took the singles convincingly by 7½-4½.
Billy Hemstock won his singles match 5&3, Damion Gee 6&5 and Jack Stevenson 6&4. Tom Woodhouse put in a magnificent performance - 4 down playing the 12th, Tom came back to earn a valuable point by winning the last hole.

Channel League v Cornwall at West Cornwall -22 June 2008 Devon exacted some revenge for their defeat against Cornwall at South West Counties Week with a fine 9½-5½ win. Ironically Devon did most of the damage in the morning Foursomes by winning 4-1 - the foursomes had been their memesis throughout SWC Week. The singles games played in the afternoon were much more even with Devon shaving it by 5½-4½.
County Captain, Paul Newcombe (East Devon), making a rare playing appearence earned maximum points with a fine 3&1 victory in his singles match to go with his 2&1 win, with club team mate, Matt Lockey in the foursomes. Channel League debutant , Steven Buzza (Exeter) also took maxium points winning his foursomes match with Tom Woodhouse (East Devon) 2&1 before going on to win his singles match by the same margin.

Channel League v Somerset at Burnham & Berrow - 29 June 2008 Another fine win for Devon making it 3 from 3 in this years Channel League campaign. The morning Foursomes were shared at 2½ points each but Devon took the singles by 6 points to 4.
Tom Woodhouse (6&5), Steven Buzza (5&4) and ex-pro Simon McCarthy (5&4) were Devon's big winners. Jon White (Saunton) and Simon McCarthy (RND) both scored maximum points.

Channel League v Wiltshire at Bovey Castle - 3 August 2008 4 out 4 for Devon as thet retain the leadership in this years Channel League. Devon won the morning Foursomes 3 -2 and the afternoon singles 6-4 to give a match result of 9-6. The match was however much tighter with 9 games going to the last hole.
Adam Bridgewater, Damion Gee and James Dimond all scored maximum points for Devon. Billy Hemstock beat the impressive Miles Mackerman in their singles game on the eighteenth green.
