This was a superb start to the Wessex League for Devon although the match was very closely fought. Devon edged the morning Foursomes 3-2 and then took the singles 5½-4½. Most of the matches were won or lost by the odd hole with only James Warwick running out a clear winner by 5&4.

Wessex League vs Somerset at Warren - 29 June 2008
Devon lost this Wessex League match due to a poor result in morning fousomes - losing 4-1. In the afternoon singles, Devon fought back wining 5½-4½ but the damage had already been done. Team Manager, Will Reed, cited Devon's poor course management and short game for the defeat.
