Horwell pipped at the post as Hume is crowned Devon Seniors Champion Peter Hume (Ilfracombe), a great supporter of County events over the years, won the coveted "Beer Pitcher" by just one stroke from local man Chris Horwell who teed off early and had waited all day for the result. Billy Hemstock is crowned 2009 Amateur Championship Billy Hemstock (Teignmouth) won the 2009 Amateur Championship by beating James Dimond (East Devon) 3&2
in the final. Billy also won the Gold Medal and qualifying event by 5
strokes with an impressive 143 at a cold, windy and wet East Devon Golf

The England 'A' International will represent Devon in the EGU English Champions Tournament.
Double Dimond works wonders in Devon Salver 21
year-old County Player James Dimond (East Devon) took the Salver in
fine style with scores of 70 & 67 at a very-well presented Torquay
course.
James completed the double by also becomming the County Youth Champion as a result of his scores on the day. Former winner Damion Gee (Sidmouth) also carded a 67 in the 2nd Round to notch up 2nd place on 141. (See Tournament Results for details).

Boys Championship has been re-scheduled for Wednesday 29th July at
Royal North Devon GC having been abandoned at Yelverton on 27th May due
