A great season opener for Devon with a win on Cornish soil! Devon took the Foursomes by 3½ to 1½ and the Singles by 6 to 4. Paul Vicary highlighted with a 7 & 6 victory in his singles match against Peter Marshall. Brian Winteridge was not far behind with a stunning 6 & 5 singles win over Robert Stacey.

Channel League vs Gloucestershire at Filton - 17 May
Another fine win for Devon's Seniors Team and a great start to the this seasons Channel League. Devon won trhe morning Foursome 3½-1½ and the afternoon Singles 5½-4½ to win the match 9-6. 100% performances came from Paul Vicary, Michael Wigley, Phil Lyons and Jon Gynne - who won his singles match 6&5.

Channel League vs Wiltshire at Marlborough - 13 July
Devon lost the morning Foursomes 2-3 but ran out eventual winners 8½-6½ by taking the last 5 singles matches. Bob Knott had a great win over Nigel Phillips by 5&3 and Team Manager, Richard Brown, also cruised home 5&4 in the last rubber against Michael Sanders to secure the win for Devon.

Friendly vs Dorset at Exeter - Thu 22 July
Honours finished all square in this scratch fourball event played at Exeter G&CC. The match ebbed and flowed with RND pair, Wigley and Vicary, getting Devon off to a winning start. Dorset came back to take a 2-1 lead before Devon's Lyons & Pettigrew and Gynne & Bower swung the match back in Devon's favour, 3-2. Dorset turned the screw and won the last match 1 up to secure the tie.
